It is becoming more and more common for people to have harming problems such as addictions to alcohol, drugs, or eating. There are always the other ways of harming such as self-harm known as cutting yourself, as well as eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia. Those are not the only addictions that are harming though, there are addictions to gambling and prescription drugs. Or you may just know of someone who is suffering from depression. All of the things that I have listed are very serious and could lead to someone potentially killing themselves either purposefully or not.
If you know someone who is suffering from anything like the previous things stated you need to get them help. Perhaps you have tried talking to them before but it has not helped or it seems to go in one ear and out there other. Maybe it is time to look into having an intervention. Interventions are a good way to get the affected person to wake up and notice what they are doing is not only hurting themselves but the people around them as well. It also shows the person all the people that want them to get well and the people that truly love them. Interventions.mobi has a lot of information on the different addictions as well as tips on how to do specific interventions. Don't ignore the persons problem, they need your help.
