Exentrique

As you may have noticed Exentrique went through some downtime for a good couple of days. There was some problems with the DNS server. But we are back up and running like usual. Hopefully we will not have anything like that happen again.

When you are blogging something that is very emotional, do you let it all out? All the proper writing goes out the window and the words that describe your emotions in the simplest ways go free. What I am asking is, do you curse in your blogs? Better yet, do you mind reading cursing in blogs?

A lot of bloggers today like to keep their blogs as clean with the language as they can. You never know who is going to end up at your website, or the ages of those visitors. With all the words there are to describe strong feelings you do not have to use the curse words as those words. Take a step back after you have written the sentence. Think to yourself, what other word can I use to describe my feelings. You can use cutesy words like 'I don't give a horse's patoot about it!' and your words will have the same meaning. Or you can rationally think of another way to say it. 'I couldn't care less!'

There are a lot of different sites out there that can help you find the words you are looking for. Try stepping outside the box when you write your emotional blog entries. Check out a Thesaurus for the harder ones. Remember, your blog is about you and how you feel. Think to yourself if you want to be thought of like that.

I have personally been a member of MyBlogLog for about seven months now and I can honestly say that I do love this website and it seems to have worked for getting my blogs out in the internet world. The set up of this site is very simple to get used to and very easy to set up your blog into the system. As you can see from the screenshot of my home page everything is laid out when you sign on. You have buttons to the side where you can add another blog, add pictures, or even add your profile. The thing I really like about MyBlogLog is that when you visit a website that is with MyBlogLog it is automatically added into your Neighborhood. You can have admirers, friends, and there is even a spot for messages in your page. This is definitely a site to check out when you want to get more hits to your site.

There are a lot of different social networks out there for your websites. Some are more put together while others seem thrown together and not much better than a blog roll. Others give you nice widgets that you can put onto your website while tracking who comes to it. Which is your social network of choice?

Personally, I enjoy Blog Catalog and MyBlogLog the most at the moment. Those two will be coming to Exentrique within the month. Technorati is another network that works well for getting your blog out there and known. Within the month we will be giving our opinions on the social networks out there. Have you heard of this new thing that Google is doing now? Maybe this is their last ditch effort to give themselves a good name again among the bloggers. Their new venture is called Google Blog Search. Here is their explanation on what Google Blog Search is:

I don't know if this is a good, bad, or indifferent thing that they are doing. Or is it even anything different from their regular search? Only time will tell!
