I love the look and feel that grandfather clocks bring to a room. They are so classic. Even the newer and more contemporary ones demand your attention and respect. A grandfather clock has many other names such as Longcase clock, Floor Clock, and tall case clock. All the names are for the same clock but they are more widely known as the grandfather clock. At our house, since it is so old and has fantastic details, a grandfather clock would look outstanding in here.
So, I went on a search looking for a grandfather clock that would look good in our great room. I went to 1-800-4clocks.com and found the Howard Miller Chateau Grandfather Clock. I had to pick my jaw up from the floor because this clock is so gorgeous and would fit perfectly in with the decor my mom currently has set up in that room. Not only does this site have beautiful grandfather clocks of all styles and kinds, they also have a blog that is helpful and gives good information. I love their most recent blog entry, Grandfather Clocks: Not Just Corner Property. It is so true. Don't put them in a corner! They need to be somewhere to be the main focus of the room!
